SGPIO Headers
The SGPIO (Serial General Purpose
Input/Output) headers are used to
communicate with the enclosure
management chip on the backplane.

Overheat LED/Fan Fail (JOH1)
The JOH1 header is used to connect
an LED to provide warning of chassis
overheating or fan failure. This LED
will blink to indicate a fan failure. Refer
to the tables on right for LED status
and pin defi nitions.

CD Header
There is a 4-pin CD header (CD1) and
a Front Access Audio header (JC1)
on the serverboard. These headers
allow you to use the onboard sound
for audio CD playback. Connect an
audio cable from your CD drive to the
CD header that fi ts your cable's con-
nector. See the tables at right for pin
defi nitions. (For details on FP Audio,
please see the next page.)
