Chapter 5: Chassis Setup and Maintenance

PCI Slot Setup

The SC825 chassis includes PCI slots for expansion cards. The number of cards

you can use depends upon your chassis model.

SC825LP: Includes seven low-prole, full-length PCI slots.

SC825U and SC825W: Includes four full-height, full-length and three low-prole

PCI slots which support user-dened universal expansion cards.

Installing Expansion cards in SC825LP (Low-Prole) Chassis

1. Disconnect the power supply, lay the chassis on a at surface, and open the

chassis cover.

2. Remove the screw holding the cover in place for each low-prole PCI card

slot you want to use. Keep this screw for later use.

3. Connect the expansion cards to the mother board.

4. Secure each card to the chassis using the card's L-bracket and the screw

previously removed.
