F-4 Introduction to the SAS2-826EL Backplane

The SAS2-826EL backplane has been designed to utilize the most up-to-date tech-

nology available, providing your system with reliable, high-quality performance.

This manual reects SAS2-826EL Revision 1.01, the most current release available

at the time of publication. Always refer to the Supermicro Web site at www.supermi-

cro.com for the latest updates, compatible parts and supported congurations.

F-5 Overview of the SAS2-826EL1/EL2 Backplanes

The SAS2-826EL1 and SAS2-826EL2 model backplanes are identical, except that

the SAS2-826EL2 backplane has duplicate secondary components which are not

found on the SAS2-826EL1. The SAS2-826EL2 is divided into a two sections, with

the primary components on the right side of the board and the secondary compo-

nents on the left.
