TACACS+ Server Configuration
Clicking the TACACS+ SERVERS tab brings up the TACACS+ SERVER CONFIGURATION
page (Figure 5-14), which allows you to configure TACACS servers. The parameters for
this page are shown in Table 5-6.

Parameter Description
IP Address This parameter specifies the IP address of the TACACS server.
Port Use this parameter to specify the TCP port for TACACS protocol.
Single Connection
Specify Yes or No for a single TCP connection. If Yes, it establishes only a single
TCP connection with a given TACACS server.
Timeout
The time for which the switch will wait for a response from the TACACS server
before closing the connection is specified with this parameter. It is configurable in
seconds, with the default as 5-seconds.
Secret Key This parameter specifies the encryption key for the given TACACS server.
