Audio Ports (J42)

HD (High Deﬁ nition) audio is provided with an onboard Realtek ALC883 audio chip.

The H8DA3-2/H8DAi-2 features 6-channel (5.1) sound for front L&R, rear L&R,

center and subwoofer speakers with the use of a mic or line-in device. Without

the use of a mic or line-in device, 8-channel sound (7.1) may be used. Sound is

output through the Line In, Line Out and MIC jacks (see below). There is also a

CD1 header on the board that can be used for audio.

Refer to the diagrams below for the port deﬁ nitions when employing 5.1 or 7.1

sound on your system.

Green jack: Line Out

Pink jack: Mic

Blue jack: Line In

Audio Jacks: 5.1 Sound

Black jack: Front L/R

Gray jack: Center/Subwoofer

Orange jack: Surround L/R

Audio Jacks: 7.1 Sound

Green jack: Center

Pink jack: Surround Left

Blue jack: Front Left

Black jack: Subwoofer

Gray jack: Surround Right

Orange jack: Front Right
